General Return Guidelines

For all online purchases, Marshalls offers free returns within 60 days of original order ship date. Select sale items are final sale exceptions, which must be returned within 14 days. We’ll automatically notify you upon ordering if any items are final sale.

Items must have original price tags and packing materials included. Please use order confirmation emails to initiate any returns rather than contacting stores. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return results from Marshalls error.

How To Initiate A Return / Exchange

Email a copy of your original order confirmation to indicating which items you need to return and why. We will provide a printable UPS return label via email and assist with any other needs getting items sent back to our warehouse. Affix the label on box and drop off at any UPS location or schedule a free pickup.

If exchanging, please specify if you’d prefer refund or online merchandise credit. Exchanges honored within initial 60-day window, outside of that period would be returns for credit toward future orders.

Return Exceptions

Receive Your Refund

Once returns are received and inspected at our warehouse (usually within 4 days of shipping), refunds process within 3 additional business days. Original payment method is credited unless gift card is preferred. Contact us after 7 days if any issues with return processing.

Damaged Or Defective Items

Please inspect deliveries promptly upon arrival and note any damage or defects on carrier’s delivery receipt before signing. If damage is identified later, contact Marshalls Customer Service within 3 days of receiving the shipment, providing photos.

In-store pickups should be thoroughly checked before leaving the store. Notify a store representative immediately about any defective items or issues. Refer to our Shipping Policy for more details on damage claims.

For online purchases, Marshalls will arrange replacement shipments upon return receipt and inspection of damaged goods. Store pickups require returning to location with defective merchandise for exchange.

Price Adjustments

Should an item you purchased online see a subsequent markdown, Marshalls will gladly issue a refund for the difference if request is made within 14 days of original purchase.

Please email your original order confirmation and current website price reflecting the discount of the purchased item(s) to Subject line should state “Price Adjustment Request” and detail the cost difference. Reach out with any questions!

Discontinuation & Inventory Issues

If a particular size, color or style of an online item you ordered becomes unavailable for timely fulfillment, Marshalls will notify you immediately with options to either wait additional time, switch to comparable merchandise or get a full refund. You’ll receive updates until resolved or returned amount received.

For inventory issues with store pickups specifically, the location will contact within 24 hours about solutions, exchanges or issuing any refunds owed.

How Return Label Credits Work

Marshalls provides free return shipping labels via email for online order returns. The charges initially debit to the credit card used on the purchase, but offset as soon as UPS scans your return shipment. Depending on the bank, return label credits typically finalize within 10 days as long as the package weight matches our quote. You will not pay anything out of pocket for returns. Contact us if your refund amount differs inexplicably from anticipated credit.

Privacy of Returned Merchandise & Information

Please note that any items returned to Marshalls may have price tags, inventory control devices and protective hygiene seal stickers removed or replaced to get them back to sellable condition without harming product integrity. Do not write on original manufacturer tags.

Marshalls may amend return policy terms at any time. However, orders placed under current guidelines at any given time will remain effective. We try to limit adjustments affecting existing orders unless absolutely necessary. Check our website prior to future purchases for the latest protocols. Of course, you always have the right under law to return defective or damaged merchandise regardless of Marshalls return policy provisions.
